Biography
Mario Broder é um legítimo artista do Rio de Janeiro, Aos 6 anos de idade ganhou uma flauta de presente de seu pai e cedo já demostrava uma certa habilidade com o instrumento. Deu seus primeiros passos na música tocando e depois cantando na igreja do Bairro Jabour, na zona oeste carioca. Em sua carreira artística iniciou como vocalista no grupo Funk N`Lata a convite do próprio Ivo Meirelles, aquele que viria se tornar para Mario Broder grande mentor e amigo. Pouco tempo depois entra para o grupo Farofa Carioca banda que Mario Broder atua até hoje ao lado de Gabriel Moura e substituindo o cantor Seu Jorge, outro amigo que fez em suas andanças e encontros musicais pelo Rio de Janeiro, na Lapa, bairro carioca conhecido por ser reduto da boêmia e do samba.
No cinema atuou como Wilson Batista no filme: NOEL POETA DA VILA do diretor Ricardo Van Steen, longa que retrata a vida e obra do cantor e compositor Noel Rosa, e também como LAÌLA no filme TRINTA, sobre a vida do carnavalesco Joãozinho Trinta dirigido por Paulo Machiline.
Fez parte do seleto Grupo percussivo Lascamão formado no Rio de Janeiro pelos músicos Robertinho Silva, o baterista de Milton Nascimento mundialmente conhecido, e Guto Goffi, o baterista do Barão Vermelho, além dos Mestre Carlos Negreiros, o percussionista Baiano Orlando Costa, o pandeirista Pedro Lima, o percussionista Marcos Esguleba e a cantora Analimar, filha do sambista Martinho Da Vila.
Lançou seu primeiro álbum solo e autoral BALANÇO DIFERENTE (Urca Music / Warner) em 2013, álbum que teve a participação especialíssima da lendária cantora ELZA SOARES na música Operária Brasileira, composição em parceria com a cantora de quem também se tornou um grande amigo.
No teatro atuou brilhantemente no espetáculo MARKU MUSICAL, musical sobre a vida e obra de Marku Ribas, finalista do Prêmio Shell 2025.
Espetáculo emocionante onde Mario Broder se destaca com ótima atuação ao lado da Família Ribas formada pela esposa e as duas filhas de Marku.
Em sua carreira, tem como referências artistas como Jorge Benjor, Tim Maia, Luiz Melodia e navega entre diversos estilos musicais, como o Sambalanço, Pop, Soul, Funk, MPB e claro, o samba, tendo feito shows pelo Brasil e outros países representando a cultura brasileira.

Mario Broder is a Brazilian singer from Rio de Janeiro. He was the lead singer from the band Farofa Carioca and Funk N Lata. Mario performs with his band (guitar, bass, drums and percussion) his own songs from the album “Balanço Diferente” With many years on the road in Brazil and abroad, MARIO BRODER exudes irreverence and high astral in his musical performances. The invitation is to explore the different Brazilians musical aspects ranging from Soul Music to Rock'n'Roll, from Funk to Samba-Rock. the shows always suggest a dancing, elegant, joyful ball, in line with the singer's Brazilian style. After 11 years as a vocal with Funk’N Lata (between 2000 and 2003) and Farofa Carioca (from 2004 till nowadays), Mario Broder faces, with wit and talent, the challenge of releasing your first solo album as a singer and songwriter. And “Balanço Diferente” shows that it was worth the wait.
